Information and Communication Technology

Grant amount £5,000.00

[slideshow] I’m excited to announce that The Indigo Trust has awarded a grant of £5,000 to the Co-Creation hub team in Nigeria to cover prize money and some project management costs for their Tech-In Governance Event in Lagos.  The Co-Creation hub and the Tech-In Series Events have been devised as part of the wider Social Innovation Camp movement.

The event aims to increase citizen participation in governance through technology, innovation and application. Over 48 hours, the team aim to bring together some of Nigeria’s top governance experts, designers, software developers, marketing communication experts and social innovators to turn 6 selected ideas into tools and social start-ups (with working prototypes). The top 3 ideas will be given seed funding for further development after the event.  The leads on this event, Bosun Tijani and Femi Longe have extensive experience in social entrepreneurship, innovation, management and leadership.

I will be sitting on the judge panel for this event and in addition to funding, The Indigo Trust has offered to provide mentorship to the winning teams and link them into our wider network.
